You must have a credit card not issued in Mexico. Only VISA,
MasterCard, Diner's Card and American Express cards issued in the name
of the person temporarily importing the vehicle will be accepted.

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THESE FORMS YOU MUST HAVE AN
ORIGINAL AND A COPY OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
A. Your Tourist Entry Form (FMT or FME).
B. The Vehicle Title that shows Legal Ownership of the vehicle and a
Registration/License Receipt.
In the case of a rental vehicle, the rental agreement in the name of the
person importing the vehicle.
In the case of a Company car, furnish a notarized document releasing
the vehicle to the interested party and proof of employment.
C. A valid driver's license not issued in Mexico
D. A Birth Certificate, Passport or Resident Card.
If you wish to cross the Border in your vehicle, you must have a
Temporary Import Application and a Vehicle Return Promise.
These forms are available at the Banco del Ejército offices on the Customs
Vehicle Control Checkpoint at the Border or at any Sanborn's or AAA Office
in California, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas.
Once you have obtained all these documents and you have completed
the Temporary Import Application and the Vehicle Return Promise, you may
proceed to the office of the Banco del Ejército. In the event you have not
obtained them from the AAA in the U.S.A., go to the Customs Vehicle
Control Checkpoint to obtain and complete the Temporary Import
Application and the Vehicle Return Promise.
A charge will be made to your International Credit Card for the amount
of TWELVE DOLLARS U.S. ($12.00). The voucher can only be filled out
and signed in the presence of the Banco del Ejército's personnel at the
border crossing and the signature has to be identical to the one on the
International Credit Card. No charges will be added to a credit card voucher
without first notifying the motorist.
Any additional charges will require documentation on the part of the
Mexican Government that the motorist has been officially contacted and
given a chance to return their documentation before any charges are levied.
