It is very important to remember the following:

1.
The Vehicle Import Permit is valid for up to six (6) months.

2.
The temporarily imported vehicle may be driven multiple times across
the border during the authorized period.

3.
While driving in Mexico, always carry the Vehicle Import Permit with
you.

4.
If you ar leaving Mexico and do not plan to return during the 6 month
authorized period, you must cancel the Vehicle Import Permit at the
Banco del Ejército. Otherwise, you may encounter problems when
you try to re-enter Mexico at a future time.
