You can start off your trip with a cultural visit to Santiago, Chile's capital. Don't miss its museums, restaurants and architectural highlights: churches, parks, theatres and "plazas". Nearby Santiago, you'll get a chance to visit the wine region and the coastal cities of Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Viña del Mar is famous for its annual music festival. Valparaíso is worth the visit for its monuments and historical center, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Up North, visit the San Pedro de Atacama region, where the world's driest desert is located: the Atacama Desert. There are many tourist attractions here: The Atacama Salars (the biggest salars in the country); The Moon Valley, known for its intricate rock and sand formations; El Tatio geysers, highland lagoons and hot springs.

Iquique is just right if you want to add a little beach time to your vacation. Here, take advantage of the radiant sun, a variety of water sports, tours and shopping!

Arica, one of the northernmost cities, features natural and historical attractions such as beaches, mountains, museums, as well as one of the world's oldest mummies! West of Arica, don't miss Lauca National Park, with its volcanoes and beautiful Lake Chungara, truly a scenically magnificent location!

In the South, ski options abound in the Chilean Andes, like Valle Nevado, Pucón and Antillanca. Further South, Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas are the gateways to the Lake Region. These cities are portrayed by German influenced architecture and port activities. Nearby also is the majestic Osorno Volcano, a perfect cone with a snowy peak, definitely worth the visit.

These amazing stone works are the legacy of the Rapanui people that lived in the island around a thousand years ago.
