This huge port city is the capital of Argentina and it’s packed with culture! Buenos Aires is home to the famous Teatro Colón Opera House and many museums focused on history, fine arts, and modern arts to name only a few subjects. Other landmarks include noteworthy churches, squares, and plazas, which will leave you truly impressed. Buenos Aires city centre is quite easy for orientation. The two most important avenues are Avenida de Mayo, and Avenue 9 de Julio. The pedestrian zones in the city are the Florida street and the Lavalle street. Towards the north, you’ll find the richer neighborhoods like Recoleta and Palermo. South of the city, you’ll find more modest neighborhoods like San Telmo, with its colonial buildings, and La Boca, one of the birth places of Tango. Lodging at De Las Americas Hotel in Buenos Aires

If weather permits, you will enjoy spectacular views to the Mount Olivia, the “Le Martial” glacier as well as the city of Ushuaia. Watch the separation of ice blocks from a short distance and listen to the howling sound that accompanies this splendor. You will have some time to explore the magnificent sights on your own.
