Day 01 Arrival to Bogotá

Upon arrival to Bogotá airport you will be transferred to your city hotel. With its population of some eight million people, Bogotá is the largest city in Colombia, which makes it a great cultural center. Here you will find many parks, gardens, restaurants, and hotels. You can see the sights and historic structures or enjoy the nightlife. Bogotá offers something for everybody! Lodging at the Intercontinental Tequendama in Bogotá

Day 02 Bogotá (B)

Today you’ll have a city tour of Bogotá. You’ll see important spots such as the colonial center, (“La Candelaria”); Plaza de Bolivar, the city’s main square and some important buildings such as the presidential palace, some churches and the Gold Museum. Then you’ll take a cable car ride to the famous Monserrate Hill, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the whole city. Lodging at the Intercontinental Tequendama in Bogotá

Day 03 Bogotá / Nuqui (B, D)

Today you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight via Medellin to Nuqui, on the Pacific Coast. After a short stroll around the village, you’ll take a one hour boat ride along the coast until you reach El Cantil Ecolodge, a wild, rustic and intimate experience in Colombia’s jungle. (Note: electricity is only available in the restaurant) Lodging at El Cantil Lodge in Nuqui

Day 04-05 Nuqui (B, L, D)

You’ll enjoy some activities such as trail hikes in the tropical jungle. You’ll have the opportunity to visit some waterfalls and hot springs (entrance fee not included). Other activities possible in the area are: diving, snorkelling, surfing, and whale watching (from June to October) (activities not included). Lodging at El Cantil Lodge in Nuqui

Day 06 Nuqui / Coffee Region (B, D)

In the morning you’ll return to Nuqui for your flight to Medellin. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Pereira, amidst the coffee region. Lodging at Finca Villa Martha in the Coffee Region

Day 07 Los Nevados National Park (B, L, D)

Today you’ll visit Los Nevados National Park. In this visit you’ll get close to Nevado Del Ruiz’s crater, at 5400 meters (17 500 feet) above sea level (if weather permits). A portion of the trip will be run by jeep, and then you’ll climb up the last portion of the mountain, where the snow line starts. In the afternoon you’ll return to Pereira and will visit a coffee farm, where you’ll learn about the cultivation and production process. Lodging at Finca Villa Martha in the Coffee Region

Day 08 Coffee Region / San Agustin (B)

In the morning you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Neiva (flight makes a stop in Bogotá). Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to San Agustín, about 4-5 hours away. San Agustín is known for its famous pre-Columbian archaeological sites, and for this it has been declared a World Heritage Center. Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustín

Day 09 San Auguatin (B)

Today you’ll visit San Agustín Archaeological Park, which contains statues and structures dating back to the year 100 CE. First you’ll visit the “Mesitas”, containing over 35 figures, some of which are up to 5 meters high (16 feet). Then you’ll continue to the Lavapatas Ceremonial Fountain, the Forest of Statues and to the Archaeological Museum. Afterwards you’ll take a horseback riding tour to visit other sites, such as “El Tablón” and “La Chaquira”. Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustín

Day 10 San Auguatin (B)

Today you’ll visit other important archaeological spots near San Agustín: Alto de Los Ídolos and Alto de Las Piedras National Parks. Along the way you’ll see the “Estrecho Del Magdalena”, where Colombia’s longest river passes through a narrow 2 meter (7 feet) rock strait, creating a strikingly beautiful effect. In the national parks you’ll see ancient painted tombs, sarcophagus, masks and sculptures. You’ll return to San Agustín around Sunset. Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustín

Day 11 San Agustin / Cartagena (B)

In the morning you’ll be transferred back to Neiva, where you’ll take a flight to Cartagena (via Bogotá). Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel on the coast. You have the rest of the afternoon to spend at leisure. Lodging at the Caribe Hotel in Cartagena

Day 12 Cartagena (B)

In the morning you’ll have a city tour of colonial Cartagena. You will see the old historic buildings and plazas, as well as a convent and a castle. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Lodging at the Caribe Hotel in Cartagena

Day 13 Cartagena (B, D)

Today you’ll visit Rosario Islands National Park, a tropical aquatic paradise! You’ll visit San Martin’s Aquarium, where you’ll see many local marine species, sharks and trained dolphins. Then you’ll continue towards the Pirate’s Island, where you’ll have time to enjoy the beach and the warm Caribbean! In the evening, you’ll have dinner in one of the city’s charming restaurants. Day 14 Departure (B)

You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
