Day 01 Quito / Otavalo
Today you’ll travel from Quito to Otavalo, to visit its famous market. Along the way you’ll visit some interesting spots: the Indian Ruins of Cochasqui; Cotacachi, where you’ll be able to shop for some leather crafts; Cuicocha Lake, an extinct crater; and San Antonio de Ibarra. Surrounded by three nearby volcanoes, Otavalo is a largely indigenous town famous for its textile weavings, something that its citizens have been practicing for hundreds of years. Day 02 Otavalo / Machachi (B)
In the morning, you’ll visit both the animal market and the main market. Then you’ll continue towards Machachi, where you’ll spend the night in a Hacienda. Along the way you’ll visit Cayambe and El Quinche Church. Lodging in Machachi
Day 03 Machachi / Baños (B, BB)
In the morning you’ll visit Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the largest volcanoes in the world. This park is popular to many nature lovers because of its beautiful wilderness. Great for hikers, this park offers many trails, stunning wildlife, and a beautiful backdrop! After this visit, continue towards Baños, where you’ll spend the night. Lodging in Baños
Day 04 Baños / Riobamaba (B, BB)
Today you’ll drive east, heading towards the jungle along the Pastaza River Canyon. Along the way you’ll visit the famous waterfall of “Pailon Del Diablo”. Surrounded by volcanoes, Riobamba has some of the best views around. Enjoy great food, elegant hotels, and an energetic nightlife. Day 05 Riobamba / Quito (B)
