Guatemala Weather and Climate

Guatemala's dry season occurs from November to April and is the most popular time to travel to the region. The wet season occurs from May to October with the wettest months being June and September experiencing roughly ten inches of rain each. The temperature is always cooler in the mountains, averaging 60s°F/15-22°C, and hot and humid in the lowlands. The warmest months are April and May with some areas reaching the 90s°F/33-37°C in the lowlands, and the average temperature does not experience much variation throughout the year. The nights throughout all of Guatemala cool down significantly from the high 50s to low 60s (14-18°C).
