cities, and several Internet providers that can set you up with a
home or office connection. There are also a growing number of
web-hosting providers and web design companies (see yellow
pages for complete listing).
Internet service costs, on average, $47 a month (unlimited use),
with prices ranging depending on service provider and
connection speed.
Major Internet Providers in Nicaragua:
Cablenet (tel. 277-0999, http://www.cablenet.com.ni), offers
high-speed broadband connections, and web hosting.
ENITEL (tel. 278-3131, http://www.enitel.com.ni), offers
broadband Internet, and a wide variety of Internet related
services to small and medium-sized businesses.
IBW Internet Gateway
(tel. 278-6328,
http://www.ibw.com.ni), is the largest Internet provider in the
country (English spoken), offering broadband connection for
hotels, web design, e-commerce, and technical support.
New Com (tel. 270-1595, http://www.newcomamericas.net),
offers high-speed Internet and web solutions.
Interlink (tel. 278-2000, http://www.interlink.com.ni), and
Teranet (tel. 278-3030), also provide Internet hookups.
MoviStar (tel. 277-0708, http://www.bellsouth.com.ni), offers
an Internet connection via cell phone, allowing users to connect
their laptops to the Internet from virtually anywhere in the
country.
