Tim Rogers has lived in Central America for the last five years,
currently making his home in Granada, Nicaragua, where he lives
and invests.
Rogers is the editor of The Nica Times, Nicaragua's English-
language newspaper, a publication of The Tico Times newspaper
in Costa Rica.
He is also a freelance contributor to more than a dozen major
newspapers and magazines in the United States and Europe.
Rogers' work has appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, The
Lancet
, The Miami Herald, The New York Times and Latin Trade
Magazine
, among others.
Rogers has also recently completed his first novel, a political
mystery set in Nicaragua.
Originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts and thusly an
insufferable Red Sox fan Rogers attended university at Wake
Forest in North Carolina, where he graduated with honors with
degrees in Politics and Spanish.
After university, he lived in Mexico for one year, and Costa Rica
for four, before making his nest in Nicaragua. His love for and
intimate knowledge of Nicaragua, its cultural expressions, laws,
idiosyncrasies and current events, have all gone into this book.
