Day 01 Arrival in Quito

Upon arrival at the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel. If your flight arrives early, we can arrange for excursions in or around Quito. Lodging in Quito

Day 02 Quito / Otavalo (B)

Early in the morning we we'll travel to the market town of Otavalo where we will visit the famous Otavalo Indian market, known as one of the biggest and most colorful market in South America. Then we will continue towards Cotacachi town, famous for its leather works, Cuicocha Lake and San Antonio de Ibarra. Lodging in Otavalo

Day 03 Otavalo / Cotopaxi (B, BB)

We'll set off from Otavalo towards Cotopaxi national Park very in the early morning. On clear days, the beautiful snow-capped volcano can be seen. We will make a short hike on the highlands of the volcano, before continuing towards Machachi town, where we will stay in a charming hacienda. Lodging in Machachi

Day 04 Banos (B, BB)

In the morning we'll drive south to visit the Zumbagua highlands, a beautiful Paramo area where we will find the impressive Quilotoa Crater Lake. This is the land of the Ecuadorian naïve painters. Then, transport to Baños, a charming tow on the upper basin of the Amazonas Rainforest. Lodging in Baños

Day 05 Riobamba (B)

After breakfast we’ll drive east to enter in the amazing cloud forest. We will enjoy a short walk on the cloud forest and admire the “Devil Caldron” waterfall. In the late afternoon we’ll continue our journey to Riobamba, where we'll stay in a local hacienda at the foot hills of the impressive Mount Chimborazo (6,310 m), the highest mountain in Ecuador. Day 06 Devil's Nose Train / Cuenca (B)

Today, optionally (not included) you could travel down the famous Devil's Nose by train (on Wed, Fri &Sun). We'll head for the village of Alausi, enjoying spectacular mountain views along the way. From Alausí we’ll travel south to Cuenca, visiting on route the ruins of the Inca fortress of Ingapirca. Lodging in Cuenca

Day 07 Cuenca Quito (B, BB)

Early today we'll visit the beautiful Las Cajas National Park, and then we'll continue with a short city tour of Cuenca. In the afternoon fly back to Quito. Upon arrival you'll be transferred to the airport. Lodging in Quito

Day 08 Departure (B)

Today you'll be transferred to the airport at the appropriate time.
