Day 01 Arrival at Bogota
Arrival at Bogota and met with guide, transfer to hotel. With its population of some eight million people, Bogota is the largest city in Colombia, which makes it a great cultural center. Here you will find many parks, gardens, restaurants, and hotels. You can see the sights and historic structures or enjoy the nightlife. Day 02 Bogota Private Half Day City Tour with Paloquemao (B)
This guided visit to the Colombian capital starts in the Plaza de Bolivar (the city's main square), which is surrounded by federal government buildings, and continues into the old colonial part of the city better known as La Candelaria, the San Francisco Church and the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays). Continue with a trip in a cable car to the top of the Monserrate Hill, which offers a spectacular view of the city. Finally you will visit the typical market place Paloquemao. You will see typical fruits, vegetables and other food products of the region. Have an authentic insight in the everyday life of Colombians.
Day 03 Bogota-Cartagena (B)
Transfer to local airport. Flight Bogota-Cartagena not included. Arrival Cartagena and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon tour WALKING THE XVIth CENTURY Let yourself be carried away by the incredible and majestic tour of the Old City where you will discover the enchantment of the Cartagena nights. Live it up and surround yourself in the mysticism of its narrow streets and plazas filled with stories and discover the meaning of their names. Day 04 Rosario Island Tour (B, L)
ROSARIO ISLANDS INCLUDING LUNCH: ISLA DE MAJAGUA Our departure takes off in speed boat from the Muelle Santa Cruz towards Rosario Islands and Isla de Majagua. On arrival, a fruit cocktail is served. Now we have time to swim or relax on the small island with white sandy beaches awaits you. The trip continues to San Martin Island with a visit of the aquarium and a chance to see performing dolphins and sharks. After that we begin the return trip to Pirate Island. After lunch (Fish, Coconutrice and a great dessert is served) we will have more time to relax, swim or snorkel. In the afternoon we return to Cartagena. (Trip will be conducted in the company of an international group of tourists, under the supervision of a bilingual guide. The entrance to the aquarium costs 13 USD per person and is not included). Day 06 Day at Leisure in Santa Marta (B, D)
Today you can explore on your own. An ideal way to see Santa Marta is to walk through the Historic Downtown area, stopping at the Cathedral, the museums and the Camellon de Bastidas.
Day 07 Tayrona Park shared service (B)
TAYRONA PARK (ARRECIFES/CANAVERAL) Departure from Santa Marta in the morning heading east along the Caribbean coast until we reach El Zaino, the main entrance of the Tayrona National Park, about half an hour drive from Santa Marta. Arrival at Canaveral beach, one of the wildest and most beautiful spots in the Tayrona National Park. From the top of a small hill it will be possible to enjoy a spectacular view of the Atlantic Coast. The tour continues with a 1-hour hike through the tropical forest to Arrecife, another marvelous beach in the Tayrona National Park.
