Day 01 Punta Arenas/Puerto Natales

Punta Arenas airport reception and transfer to Puerto Natales, the gateway city for those want to visit Torres del Paine (2 hours and 30 minutes from Punta Arenas) (no bilingual guide). Hotel Costa Australis- city view room breakfast incl

Day 02 Puerto Natales/Torres del Paine Excursion (B, BB)

The excursion begins visiting the Milodon Cave Natural Monument located on the Benitez Hill, 25 Km away from Puerto Natales. In this place during the 19th century the remains of an herbivorous prehistoric animal were found. This animal became extinct in the end of the Pleistocene. As well as the huge historical and scientific mean, the Milodon Cave has an important tourist attractive in the beautiful landscape surrounding the cave and the location just 88 kilometers south of the Torres del Paine National Park, making this a must for tourists traveling to or from the park. It is necessary a half-an-hour walk to get into the cave. Here you will observe the stalactites, places where the remains were found and a replica of Milodon. Afterward a technical stop is held in the village of Cerro Castillo; where there are possibilities to purchase some products, enjoy the coffee service or just a break to testify the beauty of the surroundings. Continuing the trip toward Torres del Paine National Park, visitors will be able to enjoy the most diverse landscapes, such as, the Magellan deciduous forest and the vast Patagonian steppe dominated by wind and aridity. On the way it is possible to see Patagonian guanaco, South American camel, and the endemic Ă‘andu, relative of the African Ostrich. Once we get to the 242.000-hectare park, with dozen lakes populated by marine birds, turquoise lakes, waterfalls and mountains covered by ice are the predominant landscape inside the park. A 15-minute walk is necessary toward the Waterfall (Salto Grande), which is communicating two big lakes inside the park, Nordenskjold and Pehoe Lakes. Finally you will visit the Grey Lake, to get to the beach is necessary to cross a suspension bridge and forest. From the shore you will see the Grey Glacier, which is one of the largest in the area and it is also portion of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Accommodation in double room with buffet breakfast

Day 03 Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers Exc. (B)

The Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers are located inside the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, which is located 31 miles to the Northwest of Puerto Natales and it is part of the Andean Mountain Range. Visiting the park is the synonym of a wonderful place, barely touched by humans. Its access is only by boat, sailing through the Última Esperanza Fiord. The trip begins in the port of Puerto Natales, and on the way the facilities belonging to Frigorífico Bories -Bories Cold Storage Plant- can be seen, also a little colony of Cormorants and a little colony of Sea lions could be enjoyed. The flora is dominated by different species of beech trees, calafate, chilco and canelo among others. From the boat watch the Balmaceda glacier, instead in order to visit the Serrano glacier a 20-minute walk would be necessary on a path bordering a calving lake originated by the melting of the glacier.
