Day 01 Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Golden Tulip Continental - deluxe ocean view room or similar x 3 nights
Day 02 Full Day Private Corcovado and Sugar Loaf tour (B)
Start your tour Passing by some of Rio's beaches and by Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and proceeding as far as Cosme Velho Station to board a cog-train for the ride through Tijuca Forest up Corcovado Mountain. The train ride takes 20 minutes and is a wonderful opportunity for a closer look to the forest's lush tropical vegetation and to enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. Disembarking at the top of Corcovado and then proceeding up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. After appreciating the breathtaking view unfolding below, passengers will descend by train and head to a restaurant for lunch (not included). Proceeding after lunch along Rio's beaches as far as Urca District to board a cable car for a two-staged ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Then coming down and proceeding along Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park as far as downtown. Visiting downtown area, passing by the financial and business center and by other attractions such as the City Palace, Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and by the Samba Rome, site of Rio's famous Carnival parade, and then returning to the hotel.
Day 03 Rio de Janeiro day at leisure (B)
Today is at leisure to explore and enjoy Rio's beaches, Copacabana, Ipanema or Leblon.
Day 04 Rio -Iguazu Falls (B)
Transfer out to airport Flight Rio-Iguazu is not included (can be booked upon request) Arrival at Iguazu and reception at the airport, then transfer to the hotel Evening and dinner at leisure Overnight at Esturion Hotel 4* std room B included x 3 nights
Day 05 Brazilian side of the Falls tour (B)
Brazilian Side Waterfalls Tour. The tour starts at the Visitors Center of the Park where thematic buses take you to the beginning of the footbridge. We go through this footbridge making stops at the balconies until we get to Puerto Canoas where a food area is and a shopping walk. From here we start coming back on the bus of the Park to the Visitors Center, same place from where we start the tour. Park entrance fee is not included.
Day 06 Argentinean side of the falls (B)
(Citizens from USA, Canada and Australia must be a reciprocity fee to enter Argentina through any border) Argentinean Side Waterfalls Tour he Iguazu Waterfalls are 275 cascades that are visited through different access. The footbridges and the navigation tours take the visitors closer to the waterfalls to live an unforgettable experience. From each rest, each view balcony, you can enjoy amazing views in the middle of subtropical vegetation full of shrubs, birds and wild animals. The tour starts at the Visitors Center and then we go through the Argentinean waterfalls traditional tours: Superior Circuit: Panoramic view of the waterfalls. Lower Circuit: Going closer to the Jungle and the Waterfalls, to the impressive Garganta del Diablo after walking on the 1.000 mts. footbridge. On our tour we include the Ecological Train of the Jungle and visit the Nature Interpretation Center located in the visitors Center. Park entrance fee is not included.
Day 07 Iguazu-Salvador (B)
Transfer to airport. Flight Iguazu-Salvador is not included (can be booked upon request) Arrival at Salvador and reception at the airport, then transfer to the hotel Evening and dinner at leisure Overnight at Monte Pascoal Salvador - standard room or similar
Day 08 Half day private city tour (B)
Breakfast at the hotel We start in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the Bay with it's famous lighthouse and make our way slowly by car or coach to the old historical section of town, the Pelourinho area with the largest and best preserved complex of colonial architecture in the America's. We stroll through the narrow, bustling streets lined with buildings in pastel shades of an age gone by, soaking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. We visit the church of Sao Francisco with its exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior and the Pelourinho square, the heart of the old town. We return to our vehicle and hotel by an alternative route. This tour shows two distinct aspects of Salvador, the new and the old, concentrating on the early expansion of the city and is a very good orientation for those wishing to further explore the city. Day 09 Salvador Day at leisure (B)
Breakfast at the hotel Spend the day at leisure or exploring the city on your own. Optional tours are also available. Today the city is divided between the upper city which reflects the early colonial influence with its numerous baroque churches, narrow winding cobblestone streets and colorful architecture and the lower city which has become a modern city. Bahia is a city of tradition and culture. Many of the women still wear the traditional 17th and 18th century white dresses and the markets are filled with folk-art, much of which still reflects the superstitions and cultures brought from Africa by the slaves. This confluence of African rituals with many of the tenets of Catholicism has helped to create a unique and fascinating culture only found in Brazil !
