El Calafate is located only 50 km (31 miles) away from the park and it is located along the shore of Lago Argentino. This city is the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, and Perito Moreno, the most famous glacier.

Day 02 Los Glaciares National Park (B)
Today you’ll visit the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier. Located 80 km away from El Calafate, this is one of the most important tourist attractions in the whole region. In this unforgettable tour you will see wildlife and unique vegetation as well as many enormous glaciers, most notably the Perito Moreno rising 60 meters out of the water. Watch the separation of ice blocks from a short distance and listen to the howling sound that accompanies this splendor. You will have some time to explore the magnificent sights on your own.
