Day 01 Arrival to Mexico City

Arrival to Mexico City International airport. You will be amazed by the size of the city from the moment you arrive. Meet and greet with a local representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, free time to start exploring the city. As the country´s capital, the "Distrito Federal" is a mosaic of contrasts but most of all an experience in which all of Mexico comes together. Day 02 City Tour Historial Center and Anthropology Museum (B)

Breakfast a hotel. Get to know one of the world´s biggest and most exciting cities! Enjoy a guided visit in the historical centre, listed by UNESCO as World Heritage. This interesting tour will include “The Zocalo”, the heart of the city, where you will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the oldest and largest of the Americas, and the National Palace, to see the famous murals of Diego Rivera. You will also see the ruins of the Templo Mayor, one of the most important temples of the Aztecs in their ancient capital city of Tenochtitlan. The Templo Mayor is thought to be located on the exact spot where the Aztecs saw the eagle perching on a cactus with a snake in its beak. This symbolized for the Aztecs that they had reached their promised land. Next, we drive down the beautiful Paseo de la Reforma Avenue to arrive at Chapultepec Park. In pre-Hispanic times a summer residence for the noble class of the Aztecs, now it is Mexico City’s largest park and one of the largest city parks in the world. We will visit the Museum of Anthropology (closed on Mondays). This museum is considered to be among the world’s finest of its kind. Here you will admire the famous Aztec calendar stone, models of Tenochtitlán, a fascinating market place diorama, giant stone Olmec heads from the jungles of Tabasco and Veracruz, among many other interesting treasures. Day 03 Teotihuacan Pyramids & Shrine of Guadalupe (B)

Breakfast a hotel. The history of Teotihuacan is quite mysterious. The earliest buildings were constructed around 200 BC. It is assumed that the city may have counted 200,000 inhabitants during its period of prosperity. In those years, Teotihuacán was the biggest city of the American continent and one of the biggest of the world. Until its inhabitants abandoned the city around the 8th century, Teotihuacan was probably the most significant and civilized cultural centre of ancient Mexico. During this guided excursion you will encounter the magic and mystery of Teotihuacan. Admire (and climb?) the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Walk down the Avenue of the Dead, visit the Temple of Quetzalcoatl with its unique stone sculptures of plumed serpents, the Temple of the Butterflies, and the Fortresses. Before arriving at your hotel, we make a stop at the Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a pilgrimage place for millions of Mexicans and people from all around the world. Day 04 Day at leisure (B)

Breakfast a hotel. Full day free for shopping, personal activities or possibility to make an optional tour. Overnight at Hotel Casa Blanca

Day 05 Mexico / Merida (B)

Breakfast a hotel. Transfer from hotel to the airport on time to check in flight bound to Merida.(flight is not included) Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon: Three hour panoramic tour through the White City of Merida, with Spanish and European architecture. Get to know colonial MĂ©rida with its mansions and buildings from XVI century, its historical monuments such as Paseo Montejo, Governor Palace, the House of Montejo, the Monument to the Flag, and Las Americas Park. Overnight Hotel El Castellano

Day 06 Uxmal & Kabah (B, L)

Breakfast a hotel. Uxmal is one of the greatest Mayan ceremonial centers; all the buildings are beautifully carved and decorated. You will admire the pyramid of the magician, quadrangle of the nuns, the Governor's Palace. Uxmal is considered one of the most beautiful pre-Hispanic archaeological sites on the American Continent, due to the proportion of its majestic constructions decorated with fine relief's, whose precision and elegance astonish us today. As well a guided visit to the Mayan site of Kabah is scheduled, this site is near Uxmal and belongs as well to the Puuc route. There you will observer the temple with the 250 Chaac masks. Lunch included.Return to Merida. Overnight Hotel El Castellano

Day 07 Chichén Itzá / Cancun (B, L)

Breakfast a hotel For many, today's visit is considered the highlight of this tour: Chichen Itza. Its extraordinary beauty and convenient geographic location makes Chichen Itza one of the most visited archaeological sites on the Yucatan peninsula. Recently elected as one of the 7 modern wonders of the world. Among its main buildings are the observatory and the castle, site of the astronomical phenomenon that occurs every equinox, symbolizing the descent to earth of the god Kukulcan, the feathered serpent. You will enjoy very much this tour. Lunch included. Then continuation on a approximately 2 and ½ hours bus ride till arrival to Cancun. Drop off at your hotel in Cancun. Accommodation in Cancun or Rivera Maya is not included but can be booked upon request. End of program.
