Day 01 Managua / Granada
Today you’ll be transferred from the Costa Rican border to historic Granada, one of the oldest cities in the American continent. Spend the afternoon at leisure wandering the streets, admiring the architecture and ambiance of this glorious colonial city. We will see and explore the most important monuments in town. Lodging at the Plaza Colon Hotel in Granada
Day 02 National Park Masaya Volcano / Markets / Catarina / Islets (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll enjoy a guided city tour. Then, continue to the town of Masaya, known for its colorful market. Next, the road leads us to Masaya National Park, one of Central America’s most spectacular active volcanoes. Along the way back to Granada, we will make a stop in the village of Catarina for a breathtaking view. There, lunch will be served in front of its famous view point. Near Granada, we will embark on a cruise around the romantic Isletas (small islands), and then, you will return to Granada. Lodging at the Plaza Colon Hotel in Granada
Day 03 Granada / Managua / León Viejo / León (B)
Today, you will visit the old and new Managua, Nicaragua’s capital city. The tour includes a visit to nearby Momotombo Volcano. Also, you’ll see “Old León”, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Once in León, Nicaragua’s other historic city you will enjoy a walking tour and a visit to the most popular museums and monuments. Lodging at La Perla Hotel in León
Day 04 San Jacinto Hot Springs / Managua (B)
After breakfast, you will enjoy an excursion to San Jacinto Hot Springs. Here, you will be able to see the strong volcanic activity and the boiling mud pots. Afterwards, you will be dropped off in Managua.
