Day 01 Arrival in Managua

Day 02 Managua / Leon (B)
After breakfast, the rental car will be delivered to your hotel. Then, you will drive on your own towards León. Along the way you’ll enjoy impressive views of Lake Managua and Momotombo Volcano. We suggest you visit Leon Viejo. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy this beautiful colonial city! Day 03 Cerro Negro (B)

Day 04 Leon / San Jacinto Hot Springs / Esteli / Selva Negra (B)
Today along the way to Selva Negra, we suggest you visit the San Jacinto Hot Springs, as well as the Esteli region, known for its top quality cigars. Then drive to the highlands of Matagalpa, also known as the coffee hub. After taking your rooms at Selva Negra Lodge, feel free to go for a nature walk into the primary tropical forest to explore the lush vegetation and try to discover the local birdlife. Day 05 Selva Negra - Masaya Volcano / Masaya Market / Catarina / Granada (B)
After breakfast, drive back to the Pacific Region towards Masaya Volcano National Park, where you can drive up to the border of the crater. Next, visit the town of Masaya where you can visit the popular handicraft market. We also recommend stopping by the town of Catarina and enjoy the unique views over Apoyo Lagoon. Day 06 Granada (B)

Day 07 San Jorge / Santo Domingo Beach (Ometepe) (B)
In the morning, drive towards San Jorge Port, following the Pan-American Highway. Upon arrival to the port, you will catch the ferry that departs at 10:30 am. Once you arrive to the Ometepe Island, you'll drive to Santo Domingo Beach. Along the way you’ll pass by several quaint villages, such as Alta Gracia. Day 08 Santo Domingo / Managua (B)
Today you will drive around Concepcin Volcano until you reach Moyogalpa, the main town. There, youll take the ferry back to the mainland port. From there, youll drive back to Managua, where youll return the car. (Approximate driving time: 3 hours and 15 minutes; distance: 165 km or 103 miles).
