Day 01 Arrival to Lima
Upon arrival to Lima, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Resting on the Peruvian coastline, Lima is the country's largest city with nearly ten million people. Declared a World Heritage Site, downtown Lima is filled with many historic, colonial buildings, such as the famous Cathedral of Lima and the Presidential Palace. Day 02 Lima City Tour & Gold Museum (B)
In the morning visit the major attractions of the city: the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), the Cathedral, the Government's Palace, the Palace Torre-Tagle and the church of "San Francisco". Afterwards you'll continue to the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, ending with a panoramic view at the Park of Love, where stands a big sculpture representing a "Couple of Andean lovers" facing the Pacific Ocean. In the afternoon, visit the Gold Museum, the private collection of the philanthropist Miguel Mujica Gallo. We can appreciate thousands of gold pieces from the Pre-Inca time jewels, ceramics, mummies and textiles. Included also is a visit to the Weapons of the World museum in the same building, a collection dating back to the 1500â€™s.
Day 03 Lima / Arequipa (B)
Transfer to the airport (flight not included). Upon arrival to Arequipa, you'll be transferred to the hotel. Resting at the foot of the El Misti Volcano in the highlands of southern Peru, Arequipa is one of the country's most important cities. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Arequipa's historic downtown is home to many white buildings made with a pearly volcanic rock. After arrival, you'll enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to the White City, passing by the Main Square, Cathedral, San Francisco Square and Church, Colonial District of Yanahuara, neighborhood of San Lazaro and Santa Catalina Convent. Day 04 Arequipa / Colca (B, L, D, D)
Depart by bus towards the Colca Canyon (Chivay), passing over the Chachani Volcano slopes. During the trip you will pass by Pampa Canahuas and Pampa Arrieros (Vicunas National Reserve), Viscachani, La Pulpera, Callalli, Sibayo and Tuti villages. You will reach an altitude of up to 13200 feet (4000 m), from where will you appreciate beautiful natural lagoons (Bofedales and Mar Atrapado). Lodging at Casa Andina 3*
Day 05 Colca / Arequipa (B, BB)
Depart towards La Cruz Del Condor, where the Canyon begins. From this point, you will appreciate its outstanding depth, as well as the magnificent flight of the condor in its natural habitat. Afterwards, you'll be transferred back to Arequipa. Box lunch along the way is included. Lodging at the Casa Andina Hotel in Arequipa
Day 06 Arequipa / Puno (B)
Transfer to the airport (flight not included). Upon arrival to Juliaca, you will be transferred to the hotel in Puno. Puno is located along Lake Titicaca, and it's known for its strong culture, such as their handicrafts and dancing. Here you'll enjoy the atmosphere and culture and take in the impressive sights that Puno has to offer. In the afternoon, you'll visit one of the 40 Uros Islands. These islands are located within the Titicaca National Reserve, where the Uros continue to live like their ancestors used to. They still preserve their customs and system of communal life. Day 07 Puno / Cusco (B)
You will be transferred to the bus station for your regular bus departure to Cusco (10hrs approx),visit Andahuaylillas, Pucara and Racchi enroute. Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to the hotel. Lodging at Eco Inn 4*
Day 08 Cusco city tour & Ruins (B)
Morning free In the afternoon visit to the imperial City of Cusco, guided sightseeing tour passing by the main square, where was the scene for many key events in CuscoÂ´s history; the Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1664 out of large slabs of red granite in a Renaissance style contrasting with the Baroque and silver of its lavish interior. Continue to Santo Domingo convent built on the Koricancha, important temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose wall were plated with sheets of smoothened stone structures; procedure to visit the nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture; Kenko is a ritual site with underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater, Puka Pukara, the red fortress and finally the Tambomachay, the Inca Baths. Day 09 Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco (B, L)
Transfer from the hotel to the Train Station. A once in a lifetime experience awaits you, on one of the most scenic and interesting train journeys in the world! The picturesque journey along the Urubamba River takes you to the legendary city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. This is the most famous and impressive Incan site. Divided into three districts; this site was intricately built using impressive, ancient techniques. Upon arrival to the lost city, enjoy a guided tour to the ruins. Lunch is included in Aguas Calientes Then, return to Cusco by train and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10 Cusco / Lima / Departure (B)
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arrive in time to connect with your international flight.
