Day 01 Arrival in Managua
Upon arrival to Managua, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel in Managua. Overnight at Hostal Bolonia in Managua
Day 02 Managua / Leon (B, D)
After breakfast, one of our representatives will provide a briefing of the trip. Afterwards, we will visit the most important monuments of the capital. Following this, we will drive from Lake Managua to the former capital, LeĂłn. Overnight at Hotel Austria in Leon
Day 03 Las Peńitas (B, L)
Today, you will enjoy a walking tour through the colonial streets of Leon city. You will visit its main monuments: the Cathedral, the old University and RubĂ©n DarĂo Museum. Around noon, you will head towards the Pacific Ocean to the town of Poneloya and Las Peñitas. Overnight at Hotel Austria in Leon
Day 04 Leon / Matagalpa / Selva Negra (B, D)
After breakfast, you'll depart to the cool regions of Nicaragua’s central mountain area. After passing through Matagalpa, you will reach the famous Selva Negra Lodge. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a walk through a mixed tropical forest. Overnight at Hotel Selva Negra in Matagalpa
Day 05 Selva Negra / Finca La Cumplida (B, D)
Today, a farmer will pick you up in a 4x4, and you will ride through the “golden triangle” of coffee, in the mountain region. Upon arrival to La Cumplida, we will not only learn about coffee, but also about ferns, reforestation and basic crops. Overnight at Owners House in Finca La Cumplida
Day 06 Finca La Cumplida / San Juan Del Sur (B, D)
In Selva Negra, bird watching just outside the door of your bungalow is amazing. After breakfast, feel free to enjoy the area on your own. Then, depart to the Pacific area towards San Juan del Sur. Overnight at Hotel Posada Azul in San Juan del Sur
Day 07 San Juan Del Sur / Ometepe Island / Playa Santo Domingo (B, D)
In the morning, you will reach Ometepe Island by ferry. Then, you’ll be transferred to Playa Santo Domingo, passing through traditional little villages and the legendary Charco Verde. In the afternoon feel free to swim, relax or walk along the beach. Overnight at Hotel Villa Paraiso in Ometepe
Day 08 Maderas Volcano (B, BB)
Today, you will explore Maderas Volcano. You have two choices: if you are in good physical condition, you can climb to the Laguna (Lagoon). If you prefer a moderate walk, you can stay in Finca Santa Magdalena. A box lunch is included in the trail. Overnight at Hotel Villa Paraiso in Ometepe
Day 09 Ometepe Island / Granada / Isletas (B)
After breakfast, you will depart towards the colonial city of Granada, where you will visit several places of interest in the city, like the Cathedral, the Casa de los Leones, la Merced Church and San Francisco Convent. Then, you will enjoy a boat tour to the romantic and tropical Isletas. Lunch will be served in Puerto Asese. Overnight at Hotel Patio del Malinche in Granada
Day 10 Granada / Apoyo Lagoon / Granada (B, L)
After breakfast we will visit the Casa de los Leones, San Francisco Convent and its Museum, with its vast exposition of pre-Columbian statutes and pottery, the colorful market, the charming cobblestone streets, and numerous architecturally significant churches and monuments. Then we will drive to the Apoyo Lagoon where you will have the rest of the day free to swim. Return to Granada. Overnight at Hotel Patio del Malinche in Granada
Day 11 Granada / Masaya Volcano & Market / Catarina (B, D)
After breakfast, you will take an excursion to Masaya Volcano National Park. Then, visit the town of Masaya with its colorful indigenous market. On the way back to Granada, we will stop at Catarina view point, where you will enjoy tremendous sights of Apoyo Lagoon. Overnight at Hotel Patio del Malinche in Granada
Day 12 Granada / Managua / Bluefields / Corn Island (B)
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bluefields on the Atlantic coast. Once there, you will visit the most attracting places. In the afternoon, take your flight to Corn Island. Overnight at Hotel Arenas Beach in Corn Island
Day 13 Corn Island (B)
Options abound for this day! Choose between swimming in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, biking around the island, snorkeling on the beautiful reef, enjoying delicious seafood or just being lazy and lying in the hammock! Overnight at Hotel Arenas Beach in Corn Island
Day 14 Corn Island / Managua (B)
Spend the morning at leisure and continue to discover the island! In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Managua. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Camino Real Hotel in Managua
Day 15 Departure (B)
You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
