Day 01 Arrival to Lima

Upon arrival to Lima, you will be transferred to the hotel. Resting on the Peruvian coastline, Lima is the country’s largest city with nearly ten million people. Declared a World Heritage Site, downtown Lima is filled with many historic, colonial buildings, such as the famous Cathedral of Lima and the Presidential Palace. Visitors will fall in love with the diverse cuisine served in the city’s countless restaurants, including the ever popular exquisite local seafood! Lodging at the Leon de Oro Hotel in Lima

Day 02 Lima / Trujillo (B)

You´ll be transferred to the bu station, for your 8 hour regular bus ride to Trujillo. Upon arrival, you´ll be transferred to the hotel. Lodging at the Conquistador Hotel in Trujillo

Day 03 Trujillo (B, L)

Today, visit the Sun & Moon Temples. This major archaeological site was built by the Moche culture (100 BC-650 AD), just east of a prominent freestanding hill, the Cerro Blanco (White Mountain). The complex is dominated by two huge adobe brick buildings: the Pyramid of the Sun, or Huaca Del Sol, and the artificial platform called Huaca de la Luna, or Temple of the Moon. Lunch will be served in a small sea side restaurant. Then, continue to Chan Chan, capital of the Kingdom of Chimor, also known as the Chimu Empire. It represents America's largest pre Hispanic mud-brick settlement, and includes walls, labyrinths, plazas, houses and temples. Lodging at the Conquistador Hotel in Trujillo

Day 04 Trujillo / Chiclayo (B)

You´ll be transferred to the bus station for your 3 hour regular bus ride to Chiclayo. Upon arrival, you´ll be transferred to the hotel. You´ll have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure. Chiclayo is one of Peru’s largest cities. Here you will find some of Peru’s best cuisine, including Ceviche, an ever popular seafood cocktail. Day 05 Chiclayo / Lima (B, L)

Today you’ll visit the Moche tomb of Sipan. Located a few miles east of Chiclayo, it’s the richest burial site discovered in the Western Hemisphere, as the burial place, which belonged to an important dignitary, was found intact. Finely crafted gold artefacts and ceramics recovered from these complexes are on display at the Museum of the Royal Tombs (closed on Mondays). Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Then visit Tucume, a Lambayeque archeological complex that consists of 26 pyramids. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Day 06 Lima / Cusco (B)

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the hotel. After arrival, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to the Imperial City of Cusco. Some of the landmarks you’ll see are: the main square, which was scene for many key events in Cusco’s history; the Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1664 out of large slabs of red granite; the Santo Domingo Convent, built on the Koricancha, an important temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun. Afterwards, visit the nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture; Kenko, a ritual site with underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater; Puka Pukara, the red fortress and finally Tambomachay, the Inca Baths. Day 07 Sacred Valley (B, L)

Today you will enjoy a full day excursion that will take you to the “Sacred Valley of the Incas”. You will pass Pisac, with its typical market (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), and picturesque cultivated terraces in the mountain slopes. Pisac is also famous for its fairs. Lunch is included. In the afternoon, continue up the Urubamba valley and visit the Fortress of Ollantaytambo. Return to the hotel in the Valley. Lodging at Los Apus Lodge in the Sacred Valley

Day 08 Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu / Cusco (B, L)

Transfer from the hotel to the Train Station. A once in a lifetime experience awaits you, on one of the most scenic and interesting train journeys in the world! The picturesque journey along the Urubamba River takes you to the legendary city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. This is the most famous and impressive Incan site. Divided into three districts; this site was intricately built using impressive, ancient techniques. Upon arrival to the lost city, enjoy a guided tour to the ruins. Lunch is included in a local restaurant. Then, return to Cusco by train. Lodging at the San Agustin Internacional Hotel in Cusco

Day 09 Cusco / Lima (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Afterwards, visit the Colonial zone of Lima, passing by the San Martin Square, Main Square and old Colonial streets in downtown Lima. You will visit also the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and the Convent. You’ll see also the “Olivar” Park at San Isidro and Love’s Park at Miraflores, in the modern part of Lima. Day 10 Lima / Departure (B)

You will be transferred to the airport in time for your international departure.
