Day 01 Arrival to Lima
Upon arrival to Lima one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to the hotel. Resting on the Peruvian coastline, Lima is the country’s largest city with nearly ten million people. Declared a World Heritage Site, downtown Lima is filled with many historic, colonial buildings, such as the famous Cathedral of Lima and the Presidential Palace. Day 02 Lima / Cusco / Sacred Valley (B)
Our representative will provide an early transfer to the airport. After arrival to Cusco, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. You will have a chance to drop off your bags at the hotel before leaving for your full day tour. The salt mines in Maras are an arrangement of terraces where salt is gathered in small pools, which are then filled by hot spring water containing a large percentage of salt. These mines were exploited since Inca times. Continue to Moray, where the Incas built terraces that were used as botanical laboratories to improve their harvest. The circular shaped terraces still remain intact. Continue the excursion to Ollantaytambo Fortress, an archeological complex including main squares, temples and terraces. Day 03 Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu / Aguas Calientes (B, L)
Early morning escorted transfer to the train station, where you will board the train headed to Aguas Calientes station. Then, transfer by bus to the ruins. Afterwards, enjoy a guided excursion to the Lost City of the Incas: Machu Picchu. This is the most famous and impressive Incan site. Divided into three districts; this site was intricately built using impressive, ancient techniques. Then, buffet lunch is included. In the afternoon return to Aguas Calientes Town. Day 04 Aguas Calientes / Cusco (B)
You’ll spend the morning at leisure (no guide or entrance fees included) In the afternoon return by train to Cusco. At arrival, transfer to the hotel. Lodging at the San Agustin Internacional in Cusco
Day 05 Cusco (B)
In the morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to the Imperial City of Cusco. You’ll Visit the Main Square, the Cathedral, Koricancha or Santo Domingo Convent; and the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Afternoon spent at leisure. Day 06 Cusco / Lima / Departure (B)
Transfer to the airport for your local flight to Lima. Afterwards, visit the Colonial zone of Lima, passing by the San Martin Square, Main Square and old Colonial streets in downtown Lima. You will visit also the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and the Convent. You’ll see also the “Olivar” Park at San Isidro and Love’s Park at Miraflores, in the modern part of Lima. At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your international departure.
