Airlines Announce Holiday Travel Fee Heading home for the holidays is going to cost you even more this year. Ginny Gabor enjoys traveling for pleasure yet she's growing tired of the games that come with every ticket she buys. Checking her first bag at Cleveland Hopkins Airport cost an additional $20. Gabor knows anything she has to eat or drink onboard her flight will be extra too. "What I would like to see is a fare that is all inclusive", she says, "and everybody knows exactly what they're paying" Gabber's frustration comes as several big airlines have announced the addition of a $10 surcharge for most tickets purchased for travel on the three busiest days of the holiday season.
