Day 01 Arrival at Santiago

SIB Santiago City Tour  - no museum. Regular service Santiago classic city tour (Panoramic tour) The guide will show and tell you the history of the Santa Lucia Hill -Place where Santiago was founded in 1541 by the Spanish Conquistadors-, the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Post Office and the City Hall of Santiago, The National Library, the La Moneda Government House, and the old and historical neighborhood of downtown Santiago. To the east you will be able to see some modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood, ending this excursion in a handicraft store, where you will enjoy a Pisco Sour and pieces of works made of lapis lazuli, a stone that exists only in Chile and Afghanistan.

Day 02 Santiago/Calama San Pedro de Atacama

Transfer to the Santiago Airport in order to take your flight to the north. (flight Santiago-Calama is not included, can be booked upon request)

Calama Airport reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Visit the famous Moon Valley at sunset.A very special place to see the sunset is the Moon Valley, just few kilometers away from San Pedro. Here it is possible to carry out a nice walk through this spectacular desert landscape to watch Death Valley's magnificent colors and shapes where dunes and mountains can be trekked; you will also see sites eroded by wind and water.

Day 03 Salt Flats and Lagoons

SIB Full day excursion to Altiplanic Lagoon: Miñique & Miscanti with guide.

National park entry fee included.

Today will visit the Atacama Salt flat and Andean villages of Toconao and Socaire. Moreover visit to the lagoons of Miscanti, Minique and Chaxa. Lunch included: Set menu no beverages Today we are driving even deeper into the desert, going to the Atacama Salt flat to visit the lagoons and tiny quaint villages as Toconao and Socaire will be visited on route to the Salt. Toconao is well known for its construction in Liparita, a volcanic stone, which is used for house construction. Socaire is other small village in the route to the salt flat. To reach to the lagoons, it is necessary to drive up the mountain ranch where Miscanti and Minique are, with an intense blue color and surrounded by white edges. These lagoons are inside the Flamingos National Reservation, which are surrounded by mountains and volcanoes, making this area a unique place to be visited. Once in the Atacama Salt Flat, you will see the famous Chaxa Lagoon, where flamingos and other birds can be seen.

Day 04 Tatio Geysers/Santiago

SIB full day excursion to Tatio Geyser with guide.

National park entry fee & lunch included.

Visit to the Tatio Geysers before sunrise. During the afternoon, transfer back to Calama airport to fly back to Santiago.(Flight is not included)

Day 05 Santiago-Easter Island

Day 06 Moai Route Rano Raraku Volcano &Anakena Beach

Enjoy the Moai Route; see the Rano Raraku volcano. Visit to the Anakena Beach and Ahu Tongariki After a Rapa Nui Breakfast at the hotel, you will begin a full day tour, along the Moai route, visiting the Vaihu, a place which is surrounded by enormous statues which have fallen down on their faces, the ruins of Akahanga, which are in their natural condition and where the first king of the island was buried. Further along, we will see the Rano Raraku volcano, situated close to the southern shore of the island, and at the base of Poike, which is the most spectacular crater in the zone and where the islanders carved the giant statues from the volcano's quarry. Here we can see the different stages in the construction of the Moai, the biggest of which still remains at the base of the quarry and which is more than 20m long and weighs just under 200 tons. We carry on towards the beautiful beach of Anakena, where we will see the Ahu Tongariki, which was the biggest of the 15 Moai statues of the island. They weighed an average of 50 tons and were destroyed by a tidal wave in 1960. Lunch Box and free time to enjoy the warm sea waters which surround the island.

Day 07 Anakai Tangata, Ahu Vinapu and Ahu Akivi

SIB Half Day Excursion - Orongo

Today we will visit the Orongo Cultural Center, passing by Anakai Tangata, Ahu Vinapu and Ahu Akivi This morning you will enjoy a half-day tour to Orongo, visiting the Rano Kao volcano, whose deep crater full of lush vegetation contains a large fresh-water lake covered with totora. From there, we will continue to the Orongo Cultural Center, located at the top of the crater at over 300m above sea level and where year after year the Bird Man or Tangata Manu ceremony takes place. We can see more than 100 petroglyphs which represent the Make-Make God and the Manutara seabird amongst others. Next, we will proceed to Ana Kai Tangata. Then we will visit Ahu Vinapu, where the interesting architectural style reminds you of the Inca's handiwork. This is due to the perfection of the cuts and location of the stones. You are driving back to the Hotel for lunch (not included), afterwards your tour continues visiting Ahu Akivi the big platform, which is composed of 7 Moai, all of them facing the sea; the Ana Tepahu caverns; the quarry of Puna Pau, where the top part of the Moai were sculpted and Ahu Tahai.

Day 08 Easter Island /Santiago

SIB Transfer hotel / IPC Airport.

After breakfast, transfer to the Mataveri Airport to take the flight to Santiago.(not included)

Day 09 Santiago/Punta Arenas /Puerto Natales
