Arrival in Guatemala City. Transfer to a hotel in the city for overnight accommodations.
You'll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Flores (flight is included). Upon arrival to Flores, you'll be transferred to a hotel in Tikal. Tikal means place of voices. It is nowadays, the biggest Mayan City known and studied. The park as an extension of 576kms squared. It was declared Human Heritage patrimony, by UNESCO in 1979 Lodging at Camino Real Tikal hotel.
Visit the famous Tikal, the monumental site of an enormous Mayan civilization left in ruins, that's been attracting archaeologists from all over the world. The ruins of Tikal include over 3,000 structures including, temples, platforms, and intricate plazas. For example, in the Major Plaza is the Archaeological Park of Tikal, surrounded by impressionist buildings as the Temples I and II, the North and Central Acropolis, as well as a big range of wakes and altars that talk part of the dynastic history of the Mayan Civilization in Tikal. Today, you'll visit Chichicastenango, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the famous and colorful open-air market which sells local food, flowers and handicrafts such as woodcarvings, clothing, and more. You'll also be able to visit Santo Tomas Church, which is over 400 years old church and still used today for local rituals and practices. Today, you'll enjoy a boat tour to the picturesque lake-side village of Santiago Atitlan. Then, you'll be transferred to Lake Atitlan. Three spectacular volcanoes, Toliman, Atitlan and San Pedro form the natural frame of the Lake itself. It has a surface of 125 square kilometers and is settled on 1,560 meters above sea level. The Lake complements its beauty with roads, beaches, riverside towns, mountains and volcanoes panoramic. It offers excellent opportunities to practicing fishing sport, sail, kayaks, free falls, aquatic skiing and the naturalistic recreation, as well as visit the Mayan population of the surround. This immense and beautiful lake is said to be the deepest in Central America, and it's the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. In the morning, you'll head towards Antigua,enchanting city and main icon of the Hispanic colonial heritage. It is localized in the Panchoy Valley and is surrounded by three volcanoes, mountains, and coffee plantations. It was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity Site by UNESCO in 1979. Its cobblestone streets and ancestral buildings conform a scenery where splendorous cultural and religious traditions emerge. Romanticism floats in every corner of the city. Antigua Guatemala is the ideal destination for religious tourism during Holy Week, especially for its catholic awareness, faith, and the beauty of its processions and colorful rugs., Today you will visit the main city attractions: colonial buildings such as churches, convents and monasteries. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Guatemala City. Overnight at Barcelo hotel or similar.
