Day 01 Arrival to Lima

Upon arrival to Lima, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Resting on the Peruvian coastline, Lima is the country's largest city with nearly ten million people. Declared a World Heritage Site, downtown Lima is filled with many historic, colonial buildings, such as the famous Cathedral of Lima and the Presidential Palace.

Day 02 Shared Half Day Lima City Tour & Larco Museum

Explore Lima ́s old area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fascinating historic buildings. Start with a scenic tour in the colonial downtown, which radiates from the Main Square, where you can appreciate the grandiose architecture of the Spanish Empire. Stroll over to the Cathedral, which was begun in the 16th century and took 80 years to build. Then visit the Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by chief conquistador Francisco Pizarro to Jerónimo de Aliaga, one of his captains. This is the only house from that time that still belongs to the same family after all these centuries. Continue to Larco Museum, located in the traditional Pueblo Libre district, which is housed in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion built on a seventh-century a pre- Columbian pyramid. The museum boasts the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artifacts, as well as pieces of erotic art.

Day 03 Lima / Arequipa

Transfer to the airport (flight not included). Upon arrival to Arequipa, you'll be transferred to the hotel. Resting at the foot of the El Misti Volcano in the highlands of southern Peru, Arequipa is one of the country's most important cities. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Arequipa's historic downtown is home to many white buildings made with a pearly volcanic rock.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a shared tour which starts at the Main Square, one of the most beautiful squares in Peru, which is located next to the impressive Arequipa Cathedral, built in the 17th century and fully rebuilt after several earthquakes. Then you will go to the Monastery of Saint Catherine, built in 1579, which is an authentic medieval cloister and a small religious citadel used to date. You will then visit the Church of the Society of Jesus (1590), considered a classical example of the local baroque architecture, which houses an exceptional collection of paintings and murals.
You will end the tour visiting the Yanahuara and Carmen Alto districts, to have a scenic view of Arequipa's countryside.

Day 04 Arequipa / Colca

A day filled with beautiful sights. You leave the city via Yura, a district characterized by its rugged scenery, hills and ravines. You enter Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, an extensive plain where you can see vicuñas, the indigenous Andean camelid that is a national symbol. Then to Vizcachani, Pampas de Toccra, up to the crater of the volcano Chucura and on to Mirador de los Andes at Patapampa (4800 m.a.s.l.) where the volcanoes surrounding Arequipa can be seen (shared/group services). Lunch will be served in the village of Chivay and in the afternoon you can rest in the hotel, or visit the local thermal springs.

Day 05 Colca / Puno

A new day for visual delights. Visit to Cruz del Cóndor to see the Colca Valley (the second deepest canyon in the world, more than 4 kilometres at its deepest part) and the juge and majestic condor flying a few metres away. You will visit the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque and the vantage points at Antahuilque and Choquetico, on your return to Chivay. From here you will leave for Puno taking the turn-off to Patahuasi. More great beauty: petrified forests, blue lakes populated by flamingoes at more than 4,000 metres above sea level. reach Puno after six hours.

Day 06 Puno

You will be picked up from Puno's lake port and transferred to the floating islands of the Uros. Uros are an ancestral society that inhabits a series of artificial islands built with totora, a reef that grows in the lake. The islands are built by weaving totoras in the places where they grow the thickest and form a natural layer. They build their totora houses over it and cook in the open air to prevent possible fires. After a one and a half- hour tour, you will continue your trip to the Taquile Island. Unlike other islands, inhabited by Aymara-speaking people in the lake, its residents speak Quechua. It was part of the Inca Empire and vestiges of said culture can be noted in their buildings. Nevertheless, when the Spaniards arrived, they forced its residents to get rid of their typical clothes and forced them to wear traditional farmers' clothes. They will give you a brief presentation about the island and you can tour it until lunch time, when you will descend the 550 steps to the main pier to return to Puno City (shared/group services).

Day 07 Puno / Cusco

A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and you will be transferred to bus station, where you will be assisted by a representative. During the morning you will be transferred from Puno to Cusco by bus, passing by spectacular locations on the way such as the town of Andahuaylillas, The Temple of Wiracocha and La Raya, the limit between Cusco and Puno over 4313 masl. The bus has a heating system, guides in English and Spanish, TV / Video, interactive video of the route, GPS, free WiFi, hot drinks on the way (subject to request) and lunch buffet in La Pascana restaurant. A transportation service with a guide will pick you up when you arrive at the bus station and will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 08 Shared Cusco city tour & Ruins

Morning free In the afternoon visit to the imperial City of Cusco, guided sightseeing tour passing by the main square, where was the scene for many key events in Cusco´s history; the Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1664 out of large slabs of red granite in a Renaissance style contrasting with the Baroque and silver of its lavish interior. Continue to Santo Domingo convent built on the Koricancha, important temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose wall were plated with sheets of smoothened stone structures; procedure to visit the nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture; Kenko is a ritual site with underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater, Puka Pukara, the red fortress and finally the Tambomachay, the Inca Baths. Return to the hotel

Day 09 Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco

Transfer from the hotel to the Train Station. A once in a lifetime experience awaits you, on one of the most scenic and interesting train journeys in the world! The picturesque journey along the Urubamba River takes you to the legendary city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. This is the most famous and impressive Incan site. Divided into three districts; this site was intricately built using impressive, ancient techniques. Upon arrival to the lost city, enjoy a guided tour to the ruins. Lunch is included in Aguas Calientes Then, return to Ollanta by train and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 Cusco / Lima / Departure

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arrive in time to connect with your international flight.
